After more than 100 years' outlook to harsh winds whipping facing the Hudson River, the wood-framed, single-pane windows that clad the Culinary Institute of America's Roth Hall in Hyde Park, NY performed like Swiss cheese, allowing air and noise to penetrate the exterior. Michael Critchley, the institute's intend manager for campus finishes, knew the windows had to make progress but was concerned with finding a late replacement that matched the distinct architecture of the 296 double-hung windows.
