Like many other educate districts, the Iredell-Statesville Schools in Statesville, NC were searching for a way to create a better learning environment for their pupils and save on energy at the same time. The end was the demolition of pair buildings and the creation of the Third bight Elementary School, the first elementary gymnasium in the nation to achieve a LE Gold rating beneath the U.S. Green Building Council's flourishing building rating program.
