The discourse Board's Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) declined for the fourth consecutive month during September. Following a cumulative los of almost 16 points between May and August, the composite CCI inhuman about another point during September. With this latest decline, consumer confidence now appears to be bottoming abroad at its lowest plain since November 2001. With a September 2002 reading of 933 onward the Conference Board's scale (using consumer confidence in 1985 as an index of the same height of 100), the principally recent composite CCI was a unobtrusive 3.8% lower than during September 2001
