The last three years have been virtuous ones for the health sector. This year started revealed somewhat slowly, but construction activity picked up later in the year, and there are fulness of reasons to believe that produce rates will continue through the decade. Total construction spending in the healthcare subsector (including additions and renovation work) was $1238 billion in consequence of the first seven month of 2002 up 120% compared to the January-July 2001 total of $1105 billion (see figure).
