digest changes adopted by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) from a proposal of the National Elevator Industry Inc. will greatly enhance escalator safety, according to the U Consumer production Safety Commission (CPSC).
The changes mean that members of the building team will have a more stringent digest when they consider retrofits for their clients or install just discovered escalators.
