A milestone in Building Design & Construction's annual Reconstruction exhibit Awards was marked in this, its 17th year. A record number of entries -- capped at more historic restorations, adaptive reuses and seismic upgrades than at any time before received -- made this year's call quite productive indeed. The avalanche of submissions also made the program plenteous more competitive, and therefore more rewarding and instructive. With any regret that more could not be honored, the editors proudly near this year's winners and runners-up
