As many as 130000 tons of 55-percent aluminum-zinc (Al-Zn) alloy-coated carburet of iron have been specified for roofing and cladding applications at Sydney Australia's Olympic facilities. According to sources familiar with the design proces the Al-Zn metal was selecteded in part because it met strict environmental benchmarks station by the International Olympic Committee for life-cycle performance, including recyclability, capacity of work consumption and by-product wastes.
