In 1998 commercial construction spending will slip just 07 percent to $928 billion. This succeeds an estimated gain of 78 percent in 1997 that placed spending at $935 billion.
and nothing else one component of commercial construction will decline in 1998: retail construction spending. Meanwhile, spending for one as well as the other office (see article above) and hotel/motel construction will continue to rise
