The BD&C Construction Confidence Index rose four-tenths of a point in September to a horizontal of 65.4. Although confidence is 31 points below its last peak in February, it is forward par with its level a year earlier (September 1996) This recommends that construction product manufacturers believe that business conditions will be relatively robust in the final quarter of the year, although not as sturdy as earlier in the year.
