Is the suburban office market strengthening? For the first time since the late 1980 more than three-fourths (77 percent) of office buildings subordinate to construction in major suburban markets are speculative, according to real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield. "Demand is outpacing supply" said firm president Arthur J Mirante. "We now have single-digit vacancy rates in many markets."
