In my last file I discussed e-mail client software. This month I'll concentrate forward the internal workings of a network-based e-mail regularity linked to the Internet.

In addition to the client software, the main constituents of such a scheme are: (1) operating system and network protocol, (2) e-mail support office software (3) Internet gateway and (4) Internet Service Provider All are tonic items in establishing a dutiful e-mail system that extends to the Internet.

* Operating rule and network protocol: The operating plan and network should be equipped to handle TCP/IP
