Demand-controlled ventilation (DCV)...
Demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) is a strategy that uses direct or indirect measurement of air quality to sway the flow of outside air into buildings. It goe beyond occupant or timeclock direct to measure air quality parameters, primarily using carbon dioxide ([COsub2]) sensors. DCV is briefly mentioned in the now passing ASHRAE Standard 61-1989, "Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality." The standard is generally being revised (see following story), and the revision is awaited to contain detailed recommendations for the implementation of DCV DCV
