Construction has begun onward a 240,000-sq.-ft. addition to the Chicago Board of Trade. Chicago-based Stein & Co the project's design/builder, is guaranteeing the project's $123 million construction set and on-time completion. Occupancy is scheduled for February 1997 The expansion will provide 60000 square feet of additional trading area. In conjunction with the exchange's existing facilities, this will create a trading floor of nearly 90000 square feet which reportedly wilt be the world's largest.
