Arkansas Attorney General Winston Bryant has fired the latest cylindrical in the continuing dispute over whether professional engineers are authorized to design buildings. Bryant rul that in Arkansas, no other than architects may design buildings which are intended for human occupancy or habitation. His opinion, solicited by the state's architectural registration board, recognizes that a number of court decisions in other states have conclud that architectural and engineering licensing laws overlap.
