According to a Chicago Tribune account concerning the grand opening party for the Chicago Title and Trust Building (CT & T) the property's proprietor toyed with the idea of using a "Titanic" party theme. if it were not that Chicago's development community needed no reminders that this office tower would likely be the last to rise for a certain number of time.
